Big Run Studios, the award-winning Oakland-based developer known for classic skill games like Blackout Bingo and Big Run Solitaire, has unveiled its newest project: Sweeps Night, a sweepstakes casino app that combines the traditional online casino experience with the free-to-play social gaming atmosphere.
Sweeps Night Now Available For Download In App Store, Google Play
Sweeps Night first appeared in the App Store and Google Play in early September. The app also uses the same structure as other sweepstakes casinos and social casinos.
- Gold Coins (GC): Purchased for entertainment play and hold no real-world value.
- Sweeps Coins (SC): Coins earned as a bonus or via sign-up rewards, daily logins, mail-in requests, and giveaways. SC can be redeemed for real money.
This model is referred to as the dual-currency system. This means Big Run Studios is allowing all games on Sweeps Night to be played for free, and no purchases are required to win cash prizes.
Sweeps Night is also introducing two interesting features: Lucky Wheel and Daily Rewards.
Lucky Wheel is a spin-to-win feature that offers Gold Coins, Sweeps Coins, and mystery jackpots, while Daily Rewards will be available to players through SC bonuses from logins.
As for game variety, although the full library hasn’t been revealed, early teasers include Buffalo Extreme Hold and Win and TNT Bonanza from Booming Games.
Players can expect to find a generous selection of slots, casino titles, and bingo.
Big Run Studios Restricts Gaming Access In 17 States
More importantly, Sweeps Night will not be available to everyone in the United States. The app currently sets the age registration limit at 18+ or 21+, depending on the state the player resides in.
Sweeps Night will also not be accessible in the following states:
- Alabama
- Alaska
- Connecticut
- Florida
- Idaho
- Illinois
- Kentucky
- Louisiana
- Maryland
- Michigan
- Mississippi
- Missouri
- Montana
- Nevada
- New Jersey
- New York
- Washington
While details around payment methods, VIP rewards, and redemption thresholds have yet to be outlined, the beta rollout suggests that the studio is doing what it can to cater to sweeps players.
Unlike many other sweepstakes apps in development, Sweeps Night is already available for download.
